The Faculty was founded in 1983. The students major for the Bachelor’s degree in:
Plant Protection - full-time studies
Ecology and Environmental Protection – full-time studies.
The two professional fields – 6.2. Plant Protection and 4.4. Ecology and Environmental Protection were accredited by the National Agency of Evaluation and Accreditation in 2006 for student training for acquiring the educational and qualification degree ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Master’ and the educational and scientific degree ‘Doctor’ with a very good score.
Five Departments are included in the Faculty structure: Entomology, Phytopathology, Microbiology and Ecological Biotechnologies, Agroecology and General Chemistry.

Experts in the National Plant Protection Services within the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supply; Consultants, experts and heads of departments in the regional structures of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Supply.
Experts in the system of the Ministry of Environment and Waters and in the local administrative services of the Regional Inspections of Environment and Waters.
Managers, consultants and experts in the stations for forecasting and signaling; in the laboratories for control and certification of ecological agricultural products; in companies, cooperatives and associations for production and processing of ecological bioproducts.
