The discipline "Entrepreneurship" is an applied economic discipline. It is based on the knowledge acquired in the fundamental economic disciplines and also on some special disciplines.

The subject studies the essence and content of entrepreneurship as a theory and business activity.

By specifying and developing the acquired economic knowledge and skills, the discipline "Entrepreneurship" reveals the practical methods, approaches and means that the individual organization (enterprise, firm, businessman, entrepreneur) needs to use in a market economy to achieve its goals.

The discipline helps to complete the student as a specialist in entrepreneurship and business.

The main purpose of the discipline is to enable students to study and interpret the theory, the essence of entrepreneurship and to understand its content as a business practice as a tool for achieving certain goals under given market conditions. The knowledge and skills that will be acquired during the training will help start-up entrepreneurs and businessmen to work in the surrounding business environment.

The main task of the training is to form the students a lasting knowledge of the basic rules and approaches in organizing their own business as well as in realizing their creative energy in other enterprises. The trainees acquire specific practical skills for organizing and managing the business. On this basis, students build self-esteem and a routine for entrepreneurship and business management in a market economy.
