Plant Quarantine
The primary objective of plant quarantine is to protect the territory of a country from the introduction of quarantine pests and to organize measures to limit their further spread and eradicate quarantine diseases that have entered the country.
The course Plant Quarantine (Phytopathological Section) aims to familiarize students with quarantine diseases identified by the European Community and the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as the organization and implementation of phytosanitary control.
Students will acquire knowledge to recognize and diagnose the diseases presented using various methods. They will gain the skills and competence to make informed decisions about subsequent actions and communicate effectively with the authorized state authorities.
