Fundamentals of Viticulture
In the "Fundamentals of Viticulture" course, students gain knowledge about the state and trends in the development of viticulture in Bulgaria, Europe and the world, the distribution and importance of the vine plant. They study the morphological, anatomical and physiological features of the vegetative and generative organs of the vine, forming the yield of grapes. Two of the sections present the evolutionarily distinct biological cycles in the development of the grapevine and its ecological requirements related to the influence of climate, soil conditions and physiological diseases.
The preparation of students in the field of viticulture at this stage ends with the planning and organization of the production of vine planting material and the creation of new vineyards.
