Ampelography

In the discipline "Ampelography", students receive information about meaning, botanical and economic classification of Vitaceae family, the geographical location and distribution of genera, species and varieties of vines. In the learning process, knowledge is acquired about the morphological signs and agrobiological characteristics of the most economically important vine rootstocks, table and wine grape varieties, and also varieties with increased resistance to diseases. They include a botanical description of vegetative and generative organs and parts, agrotechnical, phytosanitary and ecological requirements of individual types and varieties. The technological characteristic reveals their economic purpose for the production of various grape products. The preparation of students in the discipline of Ampelography is a professional continuation of their studies in Viticulture.
