Celebration of May 24, Variety of Nationalities, and Fascination of Plants Day at the Agricultural University - Plovdiv

On May 23, the Agricultural University - Plovdiv celebrated the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, one of Bulgaria's most cherished holidays. This day is dedicated to the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, the creators of the Bulgarian alphabet, education, and culture.
The event was honored by representatives of the local government, academia, business sectors, as well as students and children from various schools and organizations.
The Rector of the university, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boryana Ivanova, welcomed all guests and participants, highlighting the importance of the holiday for preserving Bulgarian identity and culture. "Every year on this date, we express our gratitude for their great work and proclaim our pride in belonging to a nation with a rich cultural heritage and a respected place in European history," she said.

During the event, participants showcased traditional cuisine, folklore, songs, and dances from their respective countries, contributing to cultural exchange and mutual understanding.

The Agricultural University - Plovdiv, with its 79-year history as a spiritual center, continues to preserve traditions, impart knowledge, and achieve scientific results. We believe that through such initiatives, we not only develop skilled professionals but also instill a spirit of understanding and tolerance in young people. Our international students are the best ambassadors of the Agricultural University worldwide, and we are confident they will return to collaborate on projects for the better future of agricultural education and science.
