UNIgreen Career Day at Agricultural University

On April 29, 2026, the Agricultural University - Plovdiv hosted the "UNIgreen Career Day" – an initiative aimed at supporting students' professional development and strengthening ties between the academic community and the business sector.
The forum was officially opened by the Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs, Prof. Dimo Atanasov. In his welcoming speech, he emphasized the importance of such initiatives that foster active dialogue between higher education and employers. Prof. Atanasov highlighted the role of entrepreneurship, innovative thinking, and adaptability to a dynamic environment as key factors in the successful professional development and practical business orientation of students and young people.
The event saw active participation from students of all majors, as well as international Erasmus+ students from Turkey, Greece, Poland, and Portugal. Among the guests were faculty members and students from the "Dimitar Matevski" High School in Plovdiv.
A total of 22 leading companies, primarily from the agricultural sector, along with representatives from state institutions, presented their activities and internship, practical training, and employment opportunities. Attendees had the opportunity to meet directly with business representatives and receive up-to-date information on labor market requirements.
A natural conclusion to the initiative was a demonstration of modern agricultural machinery – a tractor and seeders operating with no-till technology. The presentation drew significant interest and emphasized innovation and sustainable practices in modern agriculture.
UNIgreen Career Day 2026 at our university once again reaffirmed its role as an effective platform for interaction between education and business.
