Argentine institutions held a seminar focusing on sustainable agriculture and innovation in the agricultural sector in the AU

On the 15th of May, a seminar on the topic: "Strategies for Sustainable Agricultural Production: No-Till System and Regenerative Agriculture. Argentine Experience and Innovations" was held at the Agricultural University- Plovdiv.

The Vice-Rector for Scientific and International Affairs of the Agricultural University Prof. Dr. Dimo Atanasov opened the event with a welcome speech, noting: "Dear students, today you have a unique opportunity to meet global leaders and explore how knowledge, innovation, and sustainable practices shape the future of our planet."

A special guest at the meeting was the Ambassador of Argentina, H.E. Alejandro Sothner Meyer, who shared with excitement in front of the full audience: "It is an honor for me to be here at such a prestigious university - the Agricultural University -Plovdiv. We very much hope that this meeting will be followed by cooperation between Argentine universities and institutions and the Agricultural University."

Lecturers-presenters at the seminar were Mr. Santiago Guazzeli, Board Member of AAPRESID (Argentine No-Till Farmers Association) and Mr. Marco Stiuso, Foreign Trade Manager, Argentine Chamber of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers (CAFMA).
The Argentine guests presented innovations and sustainable practices in the agricultural sector that conserve soil, reduce costs, and increase agricultural yields in long term.
Students had the opportunity to participate in an open discussion and receive answers related to innovative agricultural technologies.

After the seminar, a working meeting was held in the conference room between the Argentine delegation and part of the Rector's and Dean's Management of the Agricultural University. Opportunities for exchanging knowledge, skills and experience with Argentine institutions and launching cooperation with leading agricultural universities in Argentina were discussed.
