Exhibition of Rare and Valuable Editions – 80 Years of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv

From October 27 to 31, 2025, the Library of the Agricultural University of Plovdiv hosted an exhibition of rare and valuable editions dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the University.

Visitors had the opportunity to explore the institution’s rich historical heritage through photographs, archival documents, and publications that trace the development of agricultural education in Bulgaria. Among the exhibits were:

• The Ceremonial Act from 1968, marking the opening of the newly built premises of the then Higher Agricultural Institute;

• The first issue of the newspaper “Kolarovets” from 1954;

• World atlases dating from the late 19th and early 20th centuries;

• The first Yearbook of the Plovdiv State University;

• The first volumes of the “Scientific Works of the Higher Agricultural Institute”;

• and a variety of other rare and valuable editions connected with the history of the University and the development of Bulgarian agronomic science.
