Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The use of mathematics in a number of disciplines at the Agricultural University – Plovdiv is necessary because of the increased application of contemporary mathematical methods in natural sciences and the extended use of personal computers for data processing. The course aims at providing students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in order to perform mathematical operations already used in other studied disciplines.

Higher  Mathematics course includes a calculation for functions of one and several variables, basic definitions, domain, limits, graphs, Differentiation - simples rules for  differentiation,  Monotony and extremes of the function,  Indefinite integral – properties,  The definite integral – properties, Integration methods,  Application for the definite integral, Ordinary differential equation

Course contents:

1.      Function of one variable- domain, limits, graph.

2.      Derivative of a function.

3.      Monotony and extremes of the function

5.      Indefinite integral - definition and properties.

6.      The Definite Integral

7.      Application of definite integral

8.      Ordinary differential equation
