Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Discipline inorganic chemistry is one of the foundations of common biological sciences, including agriculture. It serves as a theoretical basis for many of the special

disciplines such as agrochemistry, biochemistry, physiology, soil science, microbiology and others.

The course in inorganic chemistry clarifies some important properties and manifestations of matter as construction and condition of substances in nature, mechanism and kinetics of the interactions between them, types of chemical transformations, features a state solution, colloid and others.

The aim is to assist students in a more depth and comprehensive understanding of the processes and phenomena in nature and in particular in the soil - plant or animal organism-environment. The chemical elements and compounds are covered primarily those nutrients and heavy metals, which play an important role in the plant and animal organism in the soil, in the composition of fertilizers, plant protection products and other chemical agents in agriculture. Through the course in analytical chemistry, students get acquainted with the principles and techniques of the main methods to determine the qualitative and quantitative composition of substances.
