Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) The Rabbit: Livestock Animal, Pet, and Experimental Model 29.05.2026

Dear colleagues,

We kindly invite to participate in the international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) The Rabbit: Livestock Animal, Pet, and Experimental Model.

📅 Mobility Week: June 29 – July 08, 2026
📍 Bucharest, Romania

The main objective of this Erasmus BIP is to enhance students' knowledge and practical skills in rabbit biology, health, and welfare, with a focus on sustainable and ethical animal production.

The programme offers participants a comprehensive understanding of:

  • rabbit behaviour and welfare;
  • rabbit physiology, especially reproductive and digestive systems;
  • infectious and parasitic diseases affecting rabbits;
  • sanitary management, nutrition, housing, and breeding practices.

In addition, the course promotes the application of biotechnological tools in rabbit nutrition and genetics to improve productivity and animal well-being. Participants will also receive training in the diagnosis and treatment of common medical and surgical pathologies in rabbits, fostering veterinary competence and research-oriented thinking.

The BIP combines lectures, laboratory activities, farm visits, and international collaboration, creating an interdisciplinary learning environment that encourages knowledge exchange, innovation, and intercultural interaction among students and academic staff from European partner institutions.
